One of the most prominent Serbian classical music composers, Zoran Erić, left us forever on 20th January this year. He was a successful and renowned professor, particularly well known for teaching of composition of the Faculty of Music in Belgrade as well as at international workshops.
He received numerous awards both for his composition work and his oeuvre but he also received all the prestigious awards for his work in film and theatre.
He composed the original scores for five Yugoslav Drama Theatre productions – Calling the Birds (1989), Hamlet (1992), In the Hold (1996), Stuffed Courgettes (1996), Don Krsto (2007).
With the departure of Zoran Erić, the Yugoslav Drama Theatre has lost an important and reliable associate, an inspired artist and a good friend.
