Imagine yourself back in fateful 1933, leaving Europe behind with dark clouds gathering above it, and join Albert Einstein sailing across the Atlantic towards New York, the mad city that never sleeps! On this journey, together with him, you will encounter many different worlds: One where people live forever and one where they have no memory, a world without time, a world where everything goes back on itself and one where everything is sticky, a world where people live but for one day, a world where time is three dimensional and one where time flows backwards, a world of innumerous copies and a world where time is visible and one where time has stopped…
Director Slobodan Unkovski has turned an exciting, imaginative and funny book by astrophysicist Alan Lightman into a theatre fantasy that uses play, music, light, dance and colours in order to seek out answers to that big question: What is time? – but many other things too.
The production had guest performances at the Cankar Centre in Ljubljana and at the Macedonian National Theatre in Skopje.
