After the productions of Shopping & Fucking, Bash and Phaedra’s Love, the same artistic team gathered around director Iva Milošević has brought to the stage of Bojan Stupica theatre a modern play by a young author from Zagreb. Showing us the life lived by Mirjana and the people around her – spending their days quietly, in a suffocating day-to-day routine, worrying commonplace, banal worries, with little excitement or passion, they use subtle means to show to the audience how much beauty, sadness, humour, pain and poetry there is in this kind of existence, just like our own.

The Play About Mirjana and the People Around Her was performed at 55th Sterijino Pozorje theatre festival as well as at festivals in Mladenovac, Zagreb, Brčko, Rijeka and Split.

This production won four Veljko Maričić awards at the International Small Scenes Theatre Festival in Rijeka: Best play (Ivor Martinić) and three awards for acting (Mirjana Karanović, Jelena Petrović, Branka Petrić), Marul best performance award (Mirjana Karanović) at Marulićevi Dani festival in Split together with the audience award for best production of the festival.
