Posters designed by Slavimir Stojanović have drawn the attention of theatregoers with their monumental simplicity, their pompous minimalism, a clear thought process that resembles a puzzle whose solution requires a particular emotional and though process in the observer. They are devoid of semantic supertransparency that is so present in various announcements of different events, but above all they are entirely devoid of the content of the event they advertise. A theatre poster does not hold up a mirror to the content of a production – it is not even a matter of context: the poster has only one function – to advertise the existence of a production.
