Following Rome and Prague, this year’s educational project by the Union of the European Theatres, UTE ACADEMY, continues in Sofia. The third module is taking place from 1st to 7th July at the Theatre Laboratory Sfumato.
Our actresses Marta Bogosavljević and Hristina Tatić are among the group of young talents from Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Greece, Bulgaria, and Slovenia currently participating in Sofia. This session’s lecturers include Nuno Cardoso, a Portuguese director and long-standing former director of the National Theatre São João in Porto; Florian Hirsch, a dramaturge from the National Theatre of Luxembourg; Margareta Mladenova, a director and artistic director of the Theatre Laboratory Sfumato; and Galin Stoev, a Bulgarian actor and director.
The UTE ACADEMY project, which brings together young actors and actresses from UTE member theatres, consists of four modules hosted by different European cities and UTE member theatres. The final, closing module will take place in Thessaloniki this autumn.
