The Special Award for stage partnership at 27th edition of the International Small Scenes Theatre Festival in Rijeka went to Sanja Marković and Jovana Belović for the plethora of characters they portray in the production of My Husband by Rumena Buzharovska, directed by Jovana Tomić.
The Jury of the Novi List was unanimous in giving the Mediteran award to actress Sanja Marković for the various characters she portrays in My Husband. The jury justified their decision with these words: The award represents a recognition for a whole number of different female characters embodied by Sanja Marković who has displayed an almost magical ability of transformation, especially so in the harrowing portrayal of a mother relating the story of her child’s death but also in the humorous role of the Mentor.
Over the course of seven days, the Small Scenes Festival saw performances of nine productions from four different countries, selected by Jasen Boko.
