The opening of the new production of St. George Slays the Dragon by Dušan Kovačević, directed by Milan Nešković, is scheduled for Friday, 27 th December at 8pm on our Ljuba Tadić main stage.
The cast includes Nikola Rakočević, Milan Marić, Jovana Belović, Nebojša Ljubišić, Zoran Cvijanović, Marko Janketić, Srđan Timarov, Anđelika Simić, Aleksandar Đurica, Aleksej Bjelogrlić, Joakim Tasić, Ognjen Nikola Radulović, Teodor Vinčić, Miloš Samolov, Lazar Đukić, Luka Antonijević and Lazar Nikolić.
The original text by Dušan Kovačević was adapted for this production by Milan Nešković and Jelena Mijović, set design by Gorčin Stojanović, costume design by Biljana Grgur, dramaturgy by Jelena Mijović, original score composed by Vladimir Pejković with song lyrics by Julija Petković (Duda Buržujka). Choreography by Andreja Kulešević with dr. Dijana Marojević in charge of speech coaching.
This is the third YDT production of a play by Dušan Kovačević. Before ST GEORGE SLAYS THE DRAGON came LEMONATION (1979) directed by Dejan Mijač and THE BALKAN SPY (1983) directed by Dušan Jovanović.
