The première of A Tear of Man, based on works by A. P. Chekhov, directed by Aleksandar Popovski, is scheduled for Saturday, 12th October at 8pm on our Ljuba Tadić main stage.
This piece by Chekhov is essentially a comment on the banality of macho behaviour among men which will out, sooner or later, woven together into a story where its heroes, trapped in a tavern during an apocalyptic storm, remember their loves but also their weaknesses, passions and misguided beliefs caused them to lose that same love.
The cast includes Vojin Ćetković, Sanja Marković, Nenad Jezdić, Miodrag Dragičević, Zoran Cvijanović, Milena Živanović, Miloš Samolov, Teodora Dragićević and Teodor Vinčić.
Based on an idea by Aleksandar Popovski, the script was written and adapted for the stage by David Jakovljević with dramaturgy by Vesna Radovanović, set design by Vanja Magić, costume design by Mia Popovska, original score composed by Kiril Džajkovski with Ljiljana Mrkić Popović in charge of speech coaching.
