The production of The Loser, based on the works by Thomas Bernhard and Alexander Pushkin and directed by Nataša Radulović, will be performed for the 50th time on Tuesday, September 22.
The Loser, a daring mixture of Pushkin’s “little tragedy” about Mozart and Salieri and Bernhard’s novel about music, genius, envy, the terror of success, and the ease of failure, premiered on the Studio Ćirilov stage in May 2023. The cast features Joakim Tasić, Lenka Petrović, Stojša Oljačić, and Teodor Vinčić.
For his portrayal of Wertheimer, Joakim Tasić was honored with the “Miloš Žutić” Award, presented by the Association of Dramatic Artists of Serbia for the outstanding acting performance in 2023. The Loser has been showcased at several international theatre festivals, including the Madách International Theatre Meeting (MITEM) in Budapest (Hungary), the Union of the Theatres of Europe Festival (UTE FEST 21) in Cluj (Romania), the Dimitria Festival in Thessaloniki (Greece), and the ZAPLET 15 International Actor’s Festival in Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina), where Joakim Tasić won the award for Best Young Actor of the festival.
