
Rehearsals are ongoing at the Yugoslav Drama Theatre for the productions of Kaspar by Peter Handke, directed by Miloš Lolić and My Husband by Rumena Buzharovska, directed by Jovana Tomić.
The cast in Kaspar, by the Nobel laureate Peter Handke, includes Miodrag Dragičević, Anđelika Simić, Nikola Rakočević, Sanja Marković… Dramaturgy by Periša Perišić, set design by Jasmina Holbus, costume design by Maria Marković Milojev with original score composed by Nevena Glušica. The production will be performed on the Ljuba Tadić stage. Kaspar is a play by Peter Handke which, at the time it was first published in 1967, nearly caused a revolution in the traditional understanding of writing for the stage. Today, it is considered not only one of the most important German plays, but also one of the most important classical plays of the 20 th century.
My Husband, directed by Jovana Tomić for the Studio YDT stage, is the first time a work by a renowned Macedonian prose author Rumena Buzharovska has appeared in the Serbian language. The cast includes Sanja Marković and Jovana Belović. Dramaturgy by Dimitrije Kokanov, costume design by Maja Mirković with original score composed by Luka Major. My Husband, a collection of short stories, drew a great deal of attention among the critics and readers alike as soon as it was published.
The productions of Offing by Branislav Nušić, directed by Egon Savin and The Belgrade Trilogy by Biljana Srbljanović, a graduation production by students of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, directed by Ivan Vanja Alač, are both ready and awaiting their première. Dress rehearsals have already taken place and both productions will open as soon as the epidemiological situation allows it.
