The Yugoslav Drama Theatre is participating in the 2026 educational project of the Union of the Theatres de l’Еurope —the UTE ACADEMY—featuring young actors and actresses from UTE member theatres. This academy is one of the Union’s regular educational projects.

The UTE ACADEMY project consists of four modules held in various European cities and UTE member theatres. The first part of the project took place at Teatro di Roma in Rome from 2nd to 8th February.

The second module, titled “Exploring the Scene,” is currently being held at Prague City Theatre (Czech Republic) from 23rd to 30th April. This session features lecturers including:  Nuno Cardoso, director from Portugal and long-time artistic director of the Teatro Nacional Sao Joao in Porto, Florian Hirsch, dramaturg at the Théâtre National in Luxembourg, Tomáš Ráliš, theatre director and playwright from Czech Republic, and Carme Portaceli, director of the play Fires (Vatre), a co-production between YDT and the National Theatre of Catalonia in Barcelona, which has been part of the Yugoslav Drama Theatre repertoire for several seasons. Representing YDT in Prague alongside talents from Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Greece, Bulgaria, and Slovenia is actress Hristina Tatić.
