Today we celebrate the Yugoslav Drama Theatre anniversary which is traditionally accompanied by the Annual Award ceremony in the presence of our colleagues and friends. Last year was the first time that we did not celebrate our anniversary due to the epidemiological situation. Instead, we used our website and the YDT YouTube channel to show a video clip where the members of our ensemble and guest performers in our productions recited, spoke monologues or addressed our audiences during the state of emergency.
This year we have once again been prevented by the epidemic to gather together a larger group of people. But we are going ahead with the Annual Award ceremony for seasons 2019/2020 and 2020/2021, except that this year we have invited a smaller number of participants.
