YDT Ensemble

Marija Vickovic

Graduated in acting from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade under the mentorship of professor Predrag Bajčetić.  Was a post-graduate student at the Lee Strasberg Actors Studio in New York. Member of the Yugoslav Drama Theatre ensemble since April, 2024 before which she was a member of the ensemble of the National Theatre in Belgrade.

National Theatre in Belgrade: The Chioggia Scuffles (Lucietta), Bride of the Wind (Gemma Bojić), Iphigenia at Aulis (Iphigenia), The Judge (Brita), The Misunderstanding (Martha), The Lady of the Camellias (Marguerite Gautier), Dangerous Liaisons (Madame de Tourvel),  A Production of Hamlet in the Village of Mrduša Donja (Anđa)…

In addition to the National Theatre productions, she has also appeared in an independent Beoart production of In Agony (Laura), in a production of International Alternative Theatre Festival (in the title role of Teuta), at the Boško Buha theatre, the Montenegrin National Theatre, CNT Ivan pl Zajc in Rijeka (as lead in The Mistress of the Inn), among others.

TELEVISION: Radio Mileva, Emergency Centre, No Trespassing, The Edge of Reason, The Heroes of Our Times, Military Academy, The Scent of Rain in the Balkans, Her Mother’s Sin, Mixed Marriage, The Spring at the Last Lake.

AWARDS: YDT Annual Awards (for the production of Cyrano and The Kraut Girl, ensemble awards for the productions of Metamorphoses, The Vast Domain), best actress award at the Vršac Theatre Autumn international festival of classical theatre, Golden Mimosa award, Golden Badge for contribution to culture in Serbia.
