Today we marked 74th anniversary since the first ever performance at the Yugoslav Drama Theatre. Members of the YDT ensemble, guest artists, friends and associates gathered in the YDT foyer. A brief retrospective of the events that took place since last year’s Theatre Day was followed by the YDT awards ceremony.
The YDT Annual Award for theatre direction went to Egon Savin for Offing by Branislav Nušić, Jovana Tomić for My Husband by Rumena Buzharovska and Aleksandar Popovski for Alice in Fearland by Eva Mahkovic.
The Annual Award for comprehensive artistic input in the production of Zagreb-Belgrade via Sarajevo by Jelica Zupanc and esthetic achievement went to Gorčin Stojanović.
Ljiljana Mrkić Popović won the Annual award for speech coaching in the production of Offing by Branislav Nušić, directed by Egon Savin, as well as for her many years of distinguished work for our theatre.
The Annual Award for set design and special artistic contribution in the production of The Vast Domain by Arthur Schnitzler, directed by Marko Manojlović, went to Branko Hojnik. Dimitrije Kokanov became the recipient of the Annual Award for dramaturgy and special artistic contribution in the production of My Husband by Rumena Buzharovska, directed by Jovana Tomić.
Photographer Nebojša Babić received the Annual Award for outstanding contribution and special artistic input.
Sloboda Mićalović won the YDT Annual Award for her portrayal of Jovanka in the production of Offing by Branislav Nušić, directed by Egon Savin, and Nenad Jezdić received his Annual Award for his portrayal of Vladimir Nedeljković in the same production.
Annual Awards in the production of The Vast Domain by Arthur Schnitzler, directed by Marko Manojlović, went to Vojin Ćetković for his portrayal of Friedrich Hofreiter, Marija Vicković for her portrayal of Genia and Srđan Timarov for his portrayal of Natter.
Annual Awards in the production of I Saw Her That Night by Drago Jančar, directed by Janez Pipan, went to Milan Marić for his portrayal of Stevan Radovanović and to Nebojša Ljubišić for his portrayal of Major Ilić.
Annual Awards in the production of My Husband by Rumena Buzharovska, directed by Jovana Tomić, went to Jovana Belović and Sanja Marković for a number of characters they portray in this production. For their performances in this production, these two actresses have also received the Yugoslav Drama Theatre award and YDT Branka and Mlađa Veselinović Foundation awards for best performances in a Yugoslav Drama Theatre production as well as the Nebojša Glogovac award for outstanding artistic creation by a young actor, established last year by the YDT in cooperation with the City of Belgrade.
The Annual Award and the Dr Branivoj Đorđević award for diction in his portrayal of Doctor in the production of Zagreb-Belgrade via Sarajevo by Jelica Zupanc, directed by Gorčin Stojanović, went to Nebojša Milovanović.
The Ensemble Annual Award for teamwork, cooperation and dedicated exchange of emotion and energy, went to the cast of Alice in Fearland by Eva Mahkovic, directed by Aleksandar Popovski, including Milena Radulović, Nebojša Ljubišić, Sloboda Mićalović, Radovan Vujović, Milan Marić, Jovana Belović, Iva Stefanović, Tamara Šustić and Denis Murić.
The Yugoslav Drama Theatre gave the Award for collective artistic achievement resulting in sold-out performances, regarded by the audiences as a part of their own experience, to Ivan Vanja Alač – director of The Belgrade Trilogy by Biljana Srbljanović, as well as to the entire cast of this production – Ognjen Nikola Radulović, Lenka Petrović, Nikolina Vujević, Đorđe Mitrović and Miloš Macura.
The Annual Award for lighting design in the productions of Zagreb-Belgrade via Sarajevo by Jelica Zupanc, directed by Gorčin Stojanović, and Alice in Fearland by Eva Mahkovic, directed by Aleksandar Popovski, went to Dejan Draganov.
The Yugoslav Drama Theatre Annual Award for maintaining the high level of operation went to treasurer Zoran Živković, technical department programme organisation coordinator Jelena Komazec, sound designer Bogdan Braković, stage equipment technical officer Ivan Bajunović and head stagehand Goran Platanić.
Special recognition for excellent cooperation with the Yugoslav Drama Theatre went to the Institute for Biocides and Medical Ecology, Vračar Medical Centre and the Public Health Institute Dr Milan Jovanović Batut.
