UNCLE VANYA IN LJUBLJANA

A guest performance of Uncle Vanya by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, adapted and directed by Egon Savin, is scheduled for Tuesday, 10th December at Slovene National Theatre in Ljubljana.
This production of Uncle Vanya has so far been performed at Theatre Spring festival in Šabac, BOK festival in Bjelovar and at 34th Gavela Evenings festival in Zagreb.
Slovene National Theatre Drama in Ljubljana, one of the most important theatres in Slovenia, and Yugoslav Drama Theatre have been cooperating for many years. In 1998 a guest performance of The Powder Keg took place on the stage of SNT. Further guest performances included Belgrade Trilogy, The Miser, Moliére – Another Life, Huddersfiled, Locusts, Hamlet (directed by Dušan Jovanović), Eliah’s Chair, Born in YU, Dragonslayers, Hamlet (directed by Aleksandar Popovski), Right You Are, If You Think So. The last guest performance of a YDT production was in June last year with The King of Betajnova by Ivan Cankar, directed by Milan Nešković. In February this year, Slovene National Theatre Drama gave guest performances of The Visoko Chronicles and Bloody Smokers on our Ljuba Tadić stage.
