The play by the British playwright Kieran Lynn is a sharp modern satire exploring a phenomenon of real life and imaginary borders that separate us and of the consequences we are likely to suffer if we ever cross them. The text strikes a subtle balance half way between Ionesco and Kafka and An Incident at the Border begins as a funny, if slightly “wacky”, situation comedy which slowly turns into an absurd nightmare.
