
Bojan Lazarov died today in Belgrade. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad where he studied under the mentorship of prof. Boro Drašković. In 1996, Lazarov began working as a professional actor in theatre, film and television. He became a permanent member of the ensemble of the Little Theatre Duško Radović in Belgrade.
In Yugoslav Drama Theatre productions he appeared as Doctor Ružić (Offing), Friar Francis (Much Ado About Nothing), Cop (The Glass Neck), Živojin Jevtić (Under the Millstone); Stranger/Servant/Oels (Scenes from the Heroic Life of the Middle Class), Trudolyubov (Notes from the Underground), Lucio (The Play About Mirjana and the People Around Her), Kolya (The Kraut Girl), Priest (Phaedra’s Love), Landlord/Municipal Officer/Old Man (The Castle), Servant/Undertaker (Hamlet).
Appeared in over forty different theatre productions both in Belgrade and at the National Theatre Sombor which he joined soon after his graduation and remained there during several seasons. Worked with the majority of leading theatre directors in the region.
