Nenad Jezdić recipient of Miloš Žutić award

Miloš Žutić award for 2018, presented by the Drama Artists’ Association of Serbia, was handed to Nenad Jezdić after the performance of The King of Betajnova on 22nd September on the Ljuba Tadić stage of Yugoslav Drama Theatre.

Jezdić thus became 24th recipient of the award for best actor in productions that opened during the previous theatre season in all professional theatres in the country.

Nenad Jezdić thanked the jury, Tamara Vučković Manojlović CEO of Yugoslav Drama Theatre, the direcor and his fellow cast members. Jezdić won the award for his portrayal of Jožef Kantor in the production of The King of Betajnova by Ivan Cankar, directed by Milan Nešković.

Jezdić was one of 16 actors considered for the award and who appeared in productions that opened between 1st July, 2017 and 30th June, 2018.  The jury included: Dragana Đukić, Branislav Zeremski, Nataša Marković, Irfan Mensur and Nebojša Milovanović (president of the jury).

The award is comprised of a plaquette bearing the profile of Miloš Žutić – designed by sculptor Zvonko Novaković, diploma on parchment – designed by painter and set designer Geroslav Zarić, and a sum of money.
