The Yugoslav Drama Theatre will be taking part in the Ohrid Summer Festival in North Macedonia with two of its productions. A performance of My Husband by Rumena Buzharovska, directed by Jovana Tomić, is scheduled for Thursday, 19th August. The following day, Friday, 20th August, the audiences in Ohrid will have an opportunity to see a performance of Offing by Branislav Nušić, directed by Egon Savin.
The production of My Husband opened on 18th April on the Studio YDT stage and this July was performed at Raška and at BELEF summer festival. In September, My Husband will be performed at the Two-Hander theatre festival at Topola and in Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina) in October. The cast includes Jovana Belović and Sanja Marković.
The production of Offing opened on 10th April this year on our Ljuba Tadić stage with Nenad Jezdić, Sloboda Mićalović, Ljubomir Bandović, Vesna Stanković, Nebojša Milovanović, Bojan Dimitrijević, Jelena Stupljanin, Jovana Belović, Janko Cekić, Marko Baćović, Maja Kolundžija Zoroe and Bogdana Obradović in the cast. This is a melodrama about an ambitious young woman who married for love but to a man with precious little ambition in both his family and professional life. It has already been performed at the Nušić’s Days theatre festival in Smederevo this June and a performance is scheduled in October at the Borini pozorišni dani festival in Vranje.
