Why does Herr R. Run Amok? at 16 th International Comedy Festival ‘Mostarska Liska’in Mostar

The production of Why Does Herr R. Run Amok? by Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Michael Fengler, directed by Bobo Jelčić will be performed at 16 th International Comedy Festival ‘Mostarska Liska’ on Saturday, 20 th April. The Festival will take place at the National Theatre in Mostar.

The jury, comprised of actor and professor at the Academy of Performing Arts Senad Bašić (president of the jury), theatre director and dean of the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo Pjer Žalica and actor Erol Kadić, will be awarding four Great Liska awards: Festival Grand Prix for best production of the festival, Best Actor and Actress awards, Ahmet Obradović award for best director and Small Liska award for best actor or actress of the evening (awarded after the end of each competing performance). The award recipients are
selected by the audience jury and media jury. The Festival closes on 26 th April with the Awards ceremony when the recipients will receive their awards.

TheYugoslav Drama Theatre production of Why Does Herr R. Run Amok?, which some of the critics described as the best production of 2018, won several awards at the Without Translation festival of Yugoslav theatre in Užice: Best production, best director (Bobo Jelčić) and best male actor (Boris Isaković for his potrayal of Herr R).
